Warehouse & Logistics Operator


We are seeking a reliable, hands-on and well-organised Warehouse & Logistics Operator to support our operations in Milan.

 

This is a practical, operational role responsible for the day-to-day handling of goods, warehouse activities, logistics and stock control. The successful candidate will ensure that goods and materials are received, stored, handled and dispatched safely and efficiently, while maintaining accurate inventory records and an organised warehouse environment.

 

The role will work closely with the Service and Operations teams to ensure that equipment, materials and spare parts are available when required to support our customers and service activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations:

Manage day-to-day warehouse activities and ensure the warehouse is organised and maintained to a high standard.

Receive, check and store incoming goods and materials.

Prepare, pick, stage and dispatch outgoing goods and equipment.

Load and unload trucks, vans and other transportation.

Safely move goods, equipment, laser components and materials within the warehouse.

Ensure all goods are correctly identified, labelled and stored.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse in accordance with 5S principles.

Logistics & Goods Handling:

Support the shipping and receiving of equipment, materials and other goods.

Prepare goods for collection, delivery or shipment.

Check incoming and outgoing goods and report any discrepancies, damage or missing items.

Support the movement of goods between the warehouse, service activities and transportation.

Coordinate day-to-day logistics activities with the Service and Operations teams.

Ensure goods are available and ready when required for customer service and repair activities.

 

Stock & Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate physical stock within the warehouse.

Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are stored correctly.

Perform regular stock checks and cycle counts.

Support and, when required, lead physical stock counts.

Investigate and report discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.

Identify damaged, missing or incorrectly stored goods and escalate issues as required.

Maintain an organised storage system that allows goods and spare parts to be located quickly and efficiently.

Service Support:

Work closely with the Service Coordinator and Service Team to ensure required laser spare parts are physically available in Italy.

Pick and prepare spare parts and materials requested by the Service Team.

Store and organise laser spare parts to ensure they are easy to identify and access.

Support the Service Team with the physical handling and movement of equipment and materials.

 

Please note: The identification of required laser spare parts, determination of replenishment requirements and ordering of parts will remain the responsibility of the Service Coordinator / Service Team. This role is responsible for the physical receipt, storage, organisation and control of those parts within the warehouse. Regular lifting of 14–23 kg is required.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory or a similar hands-on operational role.

Practical and hands-on approach to warehouse and logistics activities.

Physically capable of loading and unloading goods from trucks and vans and moving materials within the warehouse.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Experience with stock control, inventory checks and physical stock counts.

Able to work independently and prioritise daily tasks.

Basic experience with ERP, warehouse management or inventory systems is preferred.

Understanding of 5S or lean warehouse practices is an advantage.

Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with service and operations teams.

Valid driving licence required.

Italian language required for day-to-day operational communication.

Basic English is an advantage.
