A 4kW core / 2kW ring water-cooled fiber laser biased toward deep penetration, for spatter-free EV battery welding.
The MFMC 4000/2000M is the middle model in the biased-split trio, pairing a larger 4000W core beam (BPP 1.3mm·mrad @34μm or 2.0mm·mrad @50μm) with a smaller 2000W ring beam (BPP 4.5mm·mrad @100μm or 7.0mm·mrad @150μm) — 6kW of combined output, matching the MFMC 3000/3000M's total but biased toward the core for deeper, more concentrated penetration.
It's built for EV battery welding, including battery drive unit welding, battery tab welding, and battery FTT anode welding. Output is tunable from 10% to 100% of rated power, with a modulation frequency up to 20kHz. It connects via QBH or QD fiber connectors, integrates into production lines over Digital I/O or ProfiNET, runs on water cooling (distilled water or glycol antifreeze, conductivity ≤40±5μS/cm), draws 18kW from a 360-440VAC three-phase supply, and ships CE certified with a 2-year standard warranty. At 550×1140×760mm and roughly 210kg, it shares its chassis with the rest of the Dual Beam Multi Module lineup.
A core-biased split — a larger 4000W core beam paired with a smaller 2000W ring beam — for deeper, more concentrated penetration than an even split at the same total power.
At 6kW combined core+ring power, the MFMC 4000/2000M matches the MFMC 3000/3000M's total output, but biases it toward the core for deeper penetration — a different weld characteristic at the same overall power.
Built for battery drive unit welding, battery tab welding, and battery FTT anode welding — precision joins where spatter and heat-affected zones need to stay minimal.
Connects into existing production lines over Digital I/O or ProfiNET, for integration with automated welding cells.
Water cooling (distilled water or glycol antifreeze, conductivity ≤40±5μS/cm) keeps output stable through sustained CW welding work on a fixed production line.
Core and ring beam quality can be configured across two fiber options (34/100μm or 50/150μm core diameters), for flexibility in matching the beam profile to the weld.
